No, you don't need to download the Auglinn app to explore maps on Maptale's website. You can view all maps online in 2D directly from your browser. However, to experience maps outdoors in immersive 3D augmented reality (AR) and to see the markers better at their exact locations, you will need the free Auglinn app on your smartphone.

To experience maps in AR, download the free Auglinn app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once installed, type the name of a Maptale AR-supported map into the "Space search" bar on the app's main screen. Select the space from the search results and click the "See on the map" button at the bottom. This will display the map's locations (markers) on the screen. If you want to see these markers as both a map and a list, click the list view button on the right side of the screen when your map (space) is filtered.

All submitted maps go through a review process where our team checks for accuracy, relevance, and adherence to our content guidelines. We currently do not offer a free trial for Maptale+. However, you can explore our free maps to get a feel for the platform before deciding to subscribe for access to exclusive content and features.

We accept a variety of payment methods through our secure payment processor, Stripe. You can use major credit and debit cards like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported. Payment options may vary depending on your location and currency. Subscribe to Maptale+ by selecting a monthly or yearly plan and clicking "Get Maptale+" above. Sign up, proceed to the payment page, and complete the checkout process. After payment, you'll receive an email with your invoice. Congratulations—you’re now a Maptale+ member! Log in, visit "Maptale+ only" map pages, and click the "See Password" link. Copy the password and paste it into Auglinn's map page, which opens after you click the button on the map page.

You can cancel your subscription at any time by going to your account settings on the Maptale website. Navigate to the "My Subscriptions" section, click on "Cancel Subscription," and follow the instructions. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

After canceling your subscription, you'll retain access to all the maps and content you had previously accessed or purchased from the Maptale Marketplace (coming soon). However, you will lose access to Maptale+ only maps and the exclusive Maptale+ features. Your account will revert to the standard free version with its associated limitations.

Refunds for forgotten cancellations are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact our customer support team (info@maptale.com) as soon as possible if you believe you were mistakenly charged. While we cannot guarantee a refund, we will review your request and assist you accordingly.

If we are unable to process your payment, you will receive a notification and a grace period to update your payment information. If the issue isn't resolved, your Maptale+ subscription will be downgraded to the free version, and you'll lose access to premium features and content. You can reactivate your subscription at any time by updating your payment details.

If you are a contributor who uploaded a map, then you retain the copyright (ownership) to all the maps you create and own. You grant Maptale a non-exclusive, perpetual license to display and market your maps on the Maptale website, and the further right to license your images to Maptale subscribers. Your contract with Maptale will be non-exclusive (meaning you can publish your maps on other platforms or partners outside of Maptale). However, the content you submit that’s accepted in the Maptale+ library will be exclusive to Maptale+, meaning you agree that you will not license accepted content with other platforms or partners. Full details about your, and Maptale’s, responsibilities are outlined in your contributor agreement, which you are expected to read during your contributor application.
